In 2012, my husband and I took a trip to Costa Rica without the kids. We loved it but with such a long list of international destinations we want to visit, we never planned to go back. In fact, we haven’t ever visited the same place twice. Until now!
When our group of friends floated the idea of an international trip together with our 4 families, Costa Rica was high on their lists. Although we had been there (or perhaps because we had), we were interested in going back with our family and friends. We definitely saw the appeal of Costa Rica for a large group with teenage kids. The country offers endless options for activity and adventure, and it seemed like a great choice for our families.
So, back we went! We even went to the same two areas – Arenal and Manuel Antonio. Those two places offer a great mix of jungle adventure, volcano viewing, nature, wildlife, and beautiful beaches. Costa Rica packs a big punch for such a small country.
