Seven Stars Resort & Spa Review

After our group selected Turks and Caicos for our girls trip, we pretty quickly narrowed in on Grace Bay as the ideal resort location for our stay. We narrowed it down to three or four options, including one splurge – Seven Stars Resort & Spa. Although the price point was definitely higher than we initially planned on, its location and amenities quickly won us over.

Seven Stars has three seven-story buildings, two of which are considered ocean-front and the third ocean-view. We were in a first floor oceanfront room in the Alhena Building. I had mixed feelings about being on the first floor. It was obviously easy access and it was nice that we could go in and out through our balcony. But I think I would have preferred a higher room for the amazing views of the beach.

Seven Stars has suites ranging in size from one bedroom with a kitchenette to three bedrooms with a full kitchen and laundry room. Our group of 5 opted for a two bedroom, 2.5 bathroom ocean front suite. With one king, two twins, and a pull-out couch, we figured it was plenty of room for all of us. Two of the moms in our group have 3 kids and are seasoned travelers as a group of 5. They recommended asking for a rollaway bed, which we got and put comfortably in the master bedroom. This was a great idea because it allowed everyone a space to sleep in a bedroom and we didn’t have to worry about people on different sleeping schedules disturbing someone sleeping in the living room.

The suites were beautiful. They were clean, nicely decorated, spacious and well-stocked. It was a great space for our girls group and would be ideal for a family too. There was a welcome bottle of wine waiting for us, as well as a couple of bags of cookies and a lovely welcome note. They also provided a refillable water bottle for each guest. Filling stations were scattered throughout the property, and glass water bottles were replenished in the suite each day as well. You can tell that the resort values attention to detail and personal touches.

As nice as the suites were, the grounds of the hotel were even nicer. Beautifully landscaped and featuring two pools (one adults-only), you definitely get the feeling that you are in paradise before you even get to see the beach.

But the beach… that is why everyone comes to Turks and Caicos. And it does not disappoint. The resort sits on a wonderful section of Grace Bay where the beach is wide and beautiful and the water is turquoise and stunning. The resort has many lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach and a staff member will bring out towels for you and set up your group together. We never had a problem getting a spot and loved the incredible views.

Aside from the pools and beach, the resort has a lot of amenities that you can take advantage of. Non-motorized water sports such as kayaking, sailing and stand-up paddle boarding are available for you to use. There are courts for tennis, pickleball, and basketball, as well as a gym and a spa. The wind was unusually high when we were there so we were not able to partake in any of the water sports but it is a nice perk that their use is included in your stay.

There are also two restaurants on site at the resort – the upscale Seven and the more casual The Deck. (A third restaurant is scheduled to open in April.) Seven requires reservations (of which we had none) but was probably more high-end than we were looking for anyway. (We were also excited to get out and explore the many fabulous restaurants in Grace Bay.) We did eat dinner at The Deck one night and enjoyed the food, oceanfront location, casual atmosphere, and live music. Our stay also included a fabulous breakfast every morning on the patio of Seven. There was a cook-to-order omelet bar, as well as a huge variety of hot and cold breakfast options. Everything except for specialty coffee drinks and alcoholic drinks was included with our stay.

Seven Stars was an incredible place to stay. We are so happy that we decided to splurge and think that it was absolutely worth it. The grounds are beautiful, the beach stunning, the pools and amenities top rate, the suites spacious and well-appointed, and the staff friendly and helpful. I absolutely recommend staying here. (But I also recommend taking advantage of their Cyber Weekend sale and booking at 40% off for travel from April-ish (after Easter) until mid-December (before Christmas)!)

And as one last bonus… you get sunsets like this…
