We headed to Atlanta for the first half of our spring break. My husband had to go back to work after that and I had planned to do a “staycation” in Charlotte with the kids for the remainder of the week. Then my sister in NJ decided to take her family to Washington DC for the the second part of the week and suggested we meet up with them. After consulting with the kids, we decided the boys and I would tackle our second road trip in a week and drive to DC the day after we got back from Atlanta. We went to DC for spring break 5 years ago but were super excited to go again. There is so much to do in DC that we could go every year and not get bored.
